Denisse's First Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to our moms and all of our family and friends that are moms! What a great day! I think Denisse and I both were still kind of in awe of the fact that we were celebrating her first Mother's Day today! We had a good day and were able to spend some quality time with Livi and each other. Here are some pics throughout the day.

12 Weeks and Counting...

Time really does fly by very fast. We have seen Livi grow so quickly in such a short amount of time. It is really amazing that she is now 12 weeks and almost 3 months old. She is doing really well and is an amazing baby! Thanks to her amazing mom, she is on a great schedule and is sleeping REALLY well at night.

She is also doing great developmentally. She smiles often, pretty much every morning when Denisse says, "Good Morning!" and she actually had her first laugh the other night. When we say laugh, we mean she was giggling for a good 7 seconds or so, not just a cackle or a coo. Funny thing is, she started laughing at Denisse doing an old cheer from high school while we were watching an NBA playoff game! Go Rams Go!

Olivia's Baptism

Sorry we are so late on the post. Things have been a little hectic lately. The baptism went really well and Livi did great. She was awaken by the water but did not cry a peep. Instead of a lot of writing, I am going to attach multiple pics.

Nine Weeks and a little Bee...

As the weeks and days go by, we are really starting to notice changes in Livi. She is obviously getting bigger. She was 10lbs. and 22 inches at her 2 month appointment, however, the biggest change over the past three weeks is the interaction we are having with her as evident by the video posted last week. Well, along with her nine week pictures, we decided to show everyone a little game that Livi loves to play called the "Tickle Bee". Enjoy and we hope everyone is doing great!!!

Eight Weeks & 2 Months

You know what is really funny about being a parent. All the time that you see your friends and family have kids, you always say, well, I don't ever think that I will talk to my baby with a "baby voice". I was quickly corrected and it only took two months. The attached video shows how well I "enunciate" in my "baby voice". Just today, Livi had me making all kinds of funny noises. I just have one question, would I be acting the same way if I had a little boy? OK, easy answer, YES!!! I'd better watch it because she might have Daddy wrapped around her little finger!

Thus far, Denisse and I are having a blast being a parent to our 10 lbs. and 22 inch bouncing baby girl. She is growing well and is starting to grab things! I have to say that Denisse is an amazing mother. She does an amazing job with Livi and has her on such a predictable schedule that she is now sleeping almost seven hours during the night! That number equals happy parents!

Happy Easter and Six Weeks...

Hoppy Easter everyone!!! Olivia had a great Easter Week and Weekend! Her week started with a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny where she took pictures in her room. We were very lucky to have the Easter Bunny stop by and thank her for taking time out of her day to stop by and take some pictures!

Later in the week, she went shopping with mom, abuela Olivia and auntie Kate! She had a great time and was well behaved throughout the day. She picked out some great outfits too! OK, maybe not, but her mom and grandma have great taste!

On the day before Easter, she posed for some cool photos and "hung" out with dad walking around the mall in the Baby Bjorn. It is absolutely amazing how quickly she falls asleep when she is in something that is moving!

Finally, on Easter Sunday, Livi got dressed up in her Easter outfit and went to church with Mom, Abuela and Dad. After church, we all loaded up in the car and drove to New York City to visit her Auntie Kate and Uncle Keith. She was also lucky enough to meet Doug, Kate's Dad. Doug thanks for the tasty beverages! Her first trip to the city was a successful one even though her daddy kind of drove the wrong way initially!

Olivia is now six weeks old and is doing great. She is becoming much more interactive and is smiling often. She really enjoys riding in the car, her stroller or anything that moves! We hope this blog finds everyone doing well!
