Holiday Ball 09!

Friday night we attended a Holiday Ball on post. We had a good time and especially liked being out sans baby for an evening.

Twinkies!

Abbi bought Mama and Livi matching aprons for all of their Christmas baking! They loved them, and now Livi wants to put it on every evening right when they get home.

Shanty House

Yesterday we attempted to build our first gingerbread house together. Let's just say, I am happy Andrew is not an architectural engineer. We had a great time and a lot of laughs, but unfortunately our house did not last too long.

Pump it Up

On Saturday we went to Cooper and Bella's birthday party at Pump it Up. Livi had such a fun time and wanted to do everything the "big" kids were doing. Fortunately, we left there with no injuries.

Spaghetti with Santa

Tonight we went to a spaghetti dinner with Santa Claus. Olivia was having a great time, anxious for Santa to arrive, until he actually did. She definitely only likes Santa (and Frosty & Rudolph) from a distance.

Three Peas in the Snow

We had our first major snow of the season on Saturday and on Sunday, we had our cousins come in from Brooklyn to visit. Isabel, Maria and Livi had a great time in the snow taking a ride in the sled and throwing snowballs at each other.

Decking Our Halls

Took some time this weekend to deck our halls. We found a great little Christmas tree out in the wilderness, pulled its roots out because I forgot a saw, threw it on top of our four wheel sleigh and brought it home. OK, we went to a little place to grab it and didn't go to the woods but it makes for a good movie. Anyways, we had a great time getting our house ready for the Christmas season with Livi. She was really a great helper and enjoyed playing with all the decorations.

Gratefulness

As we count our blessings on this Thanksgiving Day, we think about all the things we are grateful for. We are very grateful for a wonderful daughter who makes us smile and laugh everyday. We are grateful for our loving family and friends around the world. We are grateful for our Armed Services and their professionalism by maintaining our safety even on holidays such as these. Please keep all Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen in your prayers today as they continue to do their job as we celebrate this holiday.

Vegas Baby!

This past weekend our dear friends, Jan and Sabrina, got married! We are so happy for them and had a great time celebrating with them in Vegas. Abbi came to take care of Livi so we got to go away by ourselves for the first time in 21 months! Yay! It was also perfect timing because we were able to celebrate our SEVEN year wedding anniversary too. Thank you mom for everything you did for us the last week! We love you!

Zumba!

I recently took an aerobics class called Zumba! It was the most fun I have had exercising in a long time and I had to show Andrew and Livi my new moves. Livi even picked some of the moves up herself!!

Halloween was great this year! It is so much fun now that Olivia is a little older and can understand more of what is going on. She went Trick or Treating on Friday with her class and as I looked outside my building window I could see her waving and laughing. I sent my coworker outside to see her and she said she was having a great time. Later that day she had her Halloween parade and party. She walked out of her classroom with her little friends and was smiling and enjoying herself, THEN she spotted Daddy and started bawling. Before you know it, all of the toddlers were hysterical and wanted their parents.
On Halloween, we went over to our friends house for some trick or treating, games, and food. The kids did crafts, played games and had a ball in their costumes. Livi was pooped by the end of the night. Thank goodness for that extra hour!! Happy Halloween!

Last Call for Pumpkins

Halloween is almost here! We took Livi to a little pumpkin patch by the house so she can choose two pumpkins for Ella and Brooke for our Halloween playdate. As soon as we pulled up she was screaching and was so excited to play in the patch.
