What Mama was doing...

While Daddy and Livi had fun at the park, ate pizza and played all weekend long Mama was having some fun of her own. I went home to Houston to celebrate my girlfriend Brett! We had a bridal luncheon in the morning for her and an awesome Bachelorette Party for her at night. Although I can't give too many details about that night, I can tell you we had a fantastic time! Congratulations Bretta! See you in March!

Day 3 Daddy Daycare -- Beautiful Sunny Day

So the weekend comes and everything starts out great! Olivia has a decent swim lesson, cries like she normally does at the beginning, but calms down and has fun at the end. She falls alseep on the ride home from swimming and proceeds to sleep for about a hour. Did the lunch thing and we decided to go take Bailey for a walk and play at the small park for a hour or so because the weather was nice. It was about 42 degrees which is kind of crazy when you think that is nice. Olivia found her long lost sunglasses in her stroller and decided to put them on because the sun was in her eyes on the walk. She didn't take them off until we got back into the house. Oh yeah, and she was going up and down the slide by herself, but would not go down with an audience (our neighbors stopped to see her go down, she got stage fright). We had a great day, but the hour nap came back to haunt us a little. A few minor breakdowns but luckily she went to bed about 15 minutes earlier than normal. Patience was the word of the evening for me. Momma is coming home tomorrow and so far, everything is still in order. I am actually even knocking out some laundry!!! Enjoy the pics and video.

Day 2 of Daddy Daycare

Day 1 was very uneventful and plus, it doesn't really count because Denisse did Olivia's hair in the morning! For me, believe it or not, that is the most challenging part of my day. I am not sure how I can go through all these different experiences in life and still manage to worry about putting a 23 month old's hair up. Well, these are the results of my efforts. The first set are this morning and the one on the bed is to prove that the hair held up all day as Olivia's teachers said they did not have to mess with it. I have overcome all my fears!!! We celebrated with some pizza sans beer! Trying to be good while flying solo!

Wintergreen

This MLK weekend we decided to meet up with some of our friends at Wintergreen resort in Charlottesville, VA. We had a great time playing with the kiddos in the snow, watching football, going to the pool, and catching up. Thanks to Heather, Brandon, Deborah, and Ron for coordinating such a great weekend!
